Forest View Care in Childers is the first of our village locations and is convenient for those preferring to live in town. Set near the Childers Hospital and just two blocks from the town centre, the Childers independent living units offer easy access to essential services, including pharmacies, GP practices, shops and cafes. A short drive for mobility scooters and on foot if you no longer drive or don't wish to.

Designed to blend comfort with beauty, our homes offer the perfect backdrop for a peaceful yet engaging lifestyle. The village is built to highlight the open areas and green space, so you are not looking into the next unit.

Living in Childers means having easy access to essential services and amenities ensuring your health and wellness needs are easily met. Childers boasts an active community scene with an RSL club, supermarkets, beautiful ice cream, and great coffee shops, all contributing to a vibrant lifestyle.
Our Cafe in the Aged Care Facility is open Monday-Friday 8:30am until 2:00pm. There is a variety of $10 frozen meals for sale that are available for all to purchase, staff and community alike have commented how nutritious and delicious they are and how great it is not to have to cook!
Village amenities & activities
The village itself has a community hall for exclusive resident activities, from movie nights, monthly morning tea to craft sessions, ensuring there's always something to look forward to.
Activities are run in the hall and can include:

It’s a great place to develop friendships and some of our residents have chosen to travel together.
The Village Gazebo communal area allows for family lunches or groups to enjoy some social time together.
The community raised and run Medical Transport Bus can take you to Bundaberg, Maryborough or Hervey Bay for medical appointments. Looking after our village residents is a high priority for Forest View and we try our best to accommodate appointment needs.
